Grub - Feel Better

Debut music video created for Buffalo-based psychedelic rock band, Grub. Using a combination of rotoscoped footage of the band and 3D animation, “Feel Better” was developed over the course of 9 months and would be my first full-length music video. This piece took inspiration from the animated musical works of the 1980’s, namely “Heavy Metal” as well as the 2013 documentary, “Jodorowsky's Dune;” attempting to capture a similar aesthetic and atmosphere while employing more modern animation techniques. 3D scenes and assets were built in Blender and composited with 2D footage in Adobe AfterEffects.
